Every child is unique. That’s why we create customized therapy plans based on your child’s strengths, needs, and goals. We collaborate closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and progress in all areas of life.
Sensory integration skills refer to the ability of the brain to process and respond to sensory information from the environment. These skills are crucial for daily activities, as they help individuals effectively interact with the world around them. In therapy, we will focus on enhancing these skills to improve participation in tasks, such as self-care, play, and social interactions. By fostering better sensory integration, children can experience increased independence and confidence in their day to day activities.
Motor skills are the foundation of our activities. With children, we address the gross and fine motor skills needed for general play as well as refined hand use for motor tasks. We specialize in addressing handwriting difficulties as well, using Learning without Tears. We utilize creative and engaging activities to improve hand dexterity, coordination, and the overall ability to perform essential tasks, such as writing and self-care activities.
Motor planning helps us to complete motor acts, whether for the whole body or for planning activities. This is related to executive functioning and we address these areas as appropriate for each age group.
We are dedicated to empowering parents with the knowledge and resources to support their child's development beyond therapy sessions. Our parent education and support services provide valuable guidance on understanding and addressing their child's unique needs, promoting carryover of skills at home and in various environments.
